Enjoy as a dip with pita bread or a side to seafood or kofta recipe. For all of you who are not familiar with tahini, it is sesame paste.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup tahini paste
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2-3/4 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp dry parsley
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions
  1. Mix Tahini paste with vinegar. This will turn into a thick clumpy paste.
  2. Add 1/2 a cup of water and mix until smooth. If it needs more water go for it. This should not be runny though.
  3. Mix in the Garlic and rest of the ingredients.
  4. Adjust spices to your taste.
  5. Sprinkle the olive oil over the top and dust lightly with cayenne or top with fresh parsley.
  6. Enjoy as a dip with pita or a side to seafood or kofta recipe.

My family uses this all the time only with lemon in place of vinegar. We put it on everything from fish to vegetables... Great post...


Can I get tahini paste around here? I see it's a seasame paste...


If you go into the ethnic food aisle in your grocery store you should find it there. If not then any specialty ethnic food store should carry it. I get it from a local arabic grocer in my neighborhood.
