These are just everyday cookies..plain and simple. The sesame seeds gives them that little something extra!
These are normally dunked in to Greek coffee. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 c butter
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 eggs (reserve one yolk for glazing)
- 1 tbs orange juice
- 3 c SIFTED flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- raw sesame seeds for topping
Directions
- Cream butter, add sugar gradually and cream thoroughly.
- Add eggs and orange juice and beat well.
- Stir in sifted dry ingredients.
- Knead well (with your hands) until dough is smooth.
- Pinch off one to one and a half inch balls and roll into a rope and then twist.
- For glaze, brush with mixture of one egg yolk and 2 tbs water.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

My Grandma used to make these for us when I was a kid. She is Itallian, but my Grandfather was born in Greece. We got LOTS of Greek pastries. We had no idea how lucky we were! Thanks for the memories.
