Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup A&W Root Beer

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Blend at low speed, then beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
  4. Pour into a greased & floured 12x8 inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Icing:
  7. 1 lb. powdered sugar
  8. Chilled A&W Root Beer (as needed to make a thick icing)
  9. Combine in mixer bowl & blend well. Beat till thick & fluffy.
