The secretary at the school I was working at made these as Christmas gifts for everyone. It was so yumm, I didn't share!

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup karo light syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 2 pkg corn puffs (like okie dokie)
  • ~@~
  • These have the texture of Cheeto's Puffs, but WITHOUT The cheese Okie-dokie's have the shape of "pop corn" Other brands I have found on-line are Shearers Butter Corn Puffs and Harvest Roads Corn puffs.

Directions
  1. Boil butter syrup and brown sugar for 5 minutes
  2. remove from heat, add vanilla and soda... careful, it will foam up
  3. pour over corn puffs and stir until well coated. you can add nuts if you like
  4. Bake at 250 for 1 hour, turning every 15 minutes
