Sweet And Spicy Curried Rice Recipe

	sweet and spicy curried rice

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups water

1 tsp. curry powder

1/4 cup golden raisins

1 cup instant brown rice

2 Tbsp. toasted pine nuts

Directions

Bring 1 3/4 cups water to a boil.

Add 1 tsp. curry powder and 1/4 cup raisins.

Stir in 1 cup instant brown rice and cook according package directions.

Top with 2 Tbsp. toasted pine nuts.

NOTES....................More curry ideas.......

For a stir-fry, sprinkle white meat chicken with curry powder and saute in a bit of oil with fresh basil.

Add a half-tsp. to a box of couscous as it cooks.

Fold a pinch curry, into a Tbsp. of low-fat mayonnaise for a spicy sandwich spread.
