Ingredients

How to make it

  • Spoon jelly into a large saucepan
  • cook over low heat stirring until the jelly melts
  • add peppers and vinegar
  • bring to a boil ,reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes
  • shim off foam with a metal spoon
  • pour mixture into hot sterilized jars.. wipe the jar rims and cover with metal lids and screw on bands..
  • you can then process if you want to store longer that the 3 months

    I think this will be my first attempt at canning. I just checked the jalapenos in my garden. If I water them I could use them. But Ralph (my pet mosquito)wants to be fed, and I'm a little afraid to go out there. L.

    What a beautiful gift this would make for the holidays! Red currant jelly, green jalapenos, in a jelly jar tied up with Christmas ribbon. I think that's a plan!
