Fantastic!! Wonderful and easy dessert to make. I had a feeling it would be good and it was confirmed when my "non-eating" dessert DH raved about it and finished what was on his plate. I did "tweek" it a bit. I cut the recipe in half and baked it in an 8x8 square pan. I did however use the entire can of cherry pie filling (I used Comstock brand and the one with 20% more cherries). I did not use BP because I wanted a crust more shortbread like and I did reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup for half the recipe. It was really really really good!

Oh my heavens! This is good, too good! Too good because they are so easy and cherry pie filling is my guilty pleasure! I bought cherry pie filling and could not remember why so did a quick search and found this! I think it's similar to what I originally wanted to make from a magazine but it was called Cherry Kuchen bars. I've never made anything like this before and it is so incredibly scrumptious! My last indulgence before the New Year! :)

I totally forgot to come back on here after tasting. Needless to say they were a HIT! Hubby gobbled all of them up. I only ate 2 out of the 24! Very good and easy to make. I'm sure I'll get the "when you gonna make those cherry bars again?" any day now....
