Fruit And Brazil Nut Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 teasp. baking powder

1 teasp. salt

10-ounce box whole pitted dates

2 cups chopped walnuts

1 cup Brazil nuts

10-ounce jar maraschino cherries, drained

5 eggs, beaten

1 teasp. vanilla

Directions

sift together the dry ingredients into a bowl

add dates, nuts, and cherries.

stir to coat with the flour mixture

add the eggs and the vanilla

blend everything well

spoon batter into 2 well greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pans

bake at 325' F for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes

cool
