I picked this recipe up from a fellow camper who had their tent not far from ours. They brought some over to us and I had to have the recipe after 1 bite.

Ingredients
  • 1 (20-oz.) can applesauce
  • 1 (14-oz.) package gingerbread mix

Directions
  1. Heat applesauce in Dutch oven over hot coals.
  2. Prepare gingerbread mix using package directions.
  3. Pourover hot applesauce.
  4. Cover Dutch oven.
  5. Place in hot coals.
  6. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until gingerbread tests done.
  7. Can serve with whipped topping.
