Tummy Tickling Tuna Casserole Recipe

Tummy Tickling Tuna Casserole Recipe
My eldest daughter passed this along to me and I altered it somewhat. I'm not a huge mac n' cheese dinner fancier but in this case - I make an exception ;)

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. Kraft Macaroni n' Cheese
  • 1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of celery soup / cream of chicken / cream of mushroom. If I'm using leftover chicken instead of tuna, then I use cream of chicken soup.
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cans (6oz) tuna, drained
  • Note: I have prepared this with leftover chicken as well and it's delicious!
  • 1/2 red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 rib of celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 green Spring onion, sliced
  • 1-3/4 cups crushed potato chips/crisps with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and 1 tsp. onion powder (I like using Sour Cream and Onion flavoured potato chips/crisps)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Prepare Macaroni n' Cheese dinner as directed.
  3. When it is done, stir in soup(I like to whisk it first), milk, tuna / chicken, red pepper, celery and onion.
  4. Spoon mixture into a 2 qt. lightly greased casserole dish and top with crushed potato chips, Parmesan cheese and onion powder mixture.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until completely heated through.
  6. Makes 4 servings
