    Hi there..
I'm in a rural are where no stores sell worcestershire sauce nor sake. What ingredients do you suggest to replace them? Thanks

Thanks for the recipe, me and my family love it! I wouldn't use any store sauce if I can make it fresh homemade without preservatives and adding as much sugar as I want..

I actually just signed up here to give my regards, this sauce was awesome, and really close to what I was hoping for. Just made tonkatsu tonight, and it tasted really close to that bulldog sauce I was wasn't willing to spend money on. I think the key is simmering it and letting it sit for a little bit, thanks so much for this recipe!

My daughter loves this sauce more than ketchup. She has it with her eggs too. It's a wonderful sauce and better homemade!

Tonkatsu tastes great over regular 'ole' fried pork chops, fried chicken/patties or nuggets. Kikoman will work in a pinch but this recipe is wonderful!

I LOVE kikoman tonkatsu sauce but it's very hard to find, so when I do find it I buy several bottles of it. I've been tempted to try this out, but worried it won't taste the same.

Anyone tried the kikoman kind and this recipe? I would love to know your opinion on difference or similarity. Thanks

If one doesn't feel like making the sauce, store-bought tonkatsu sauce will work, too.
