How to make it

  • IIn medium-sized saucepan, pour in soda and stir in cornstarch. Boil until mixture is clearer than it was at first. I use a whip to thoroughly mix the cornstarch into the soda.
  • When clear enough, add gelatin (dry) and stir or whip into mixture until dissolved. Cool mixture.
  • Add sliced strawberries, stir to coat, and pour into pie crust. Refrigerate 3-4 hours until set.
  • Top with whipped topping if desired.
  • A nice change to use fresh peaches with lemon gelatin.
