- 1 Block fresh yeast shopping list
- 1c Warmish water shopping list
- 1.5c Plain flour shopping list
- 5tsp salt shopping list
- 1tsp salt shopping list
- 1tsp sugar shopping list
- 1tsp Lebkuchen spice shopping list
- VGegtable oil shopping list
- syrup shopping list
- honey shopping list
- cinnamon shopping list
- water shopping list
How to make it
- Dissolve fresh yeast in warmish water (not more than 30degC or you will kill the organisms that will make your mix rise)
- Mix flour, salt, sugan and Lebkuchen spice
- Add the water mix in a slow stream while mixing until it forms a thick smooth batter
- Cover and let it stand in a warm place (30degC) for an hour or until doubled in size
- Deep fry teaspoons of batter in hot oil until browned.
- Drain them on abosorbent paper
- SYRUP
- Combine honey, cinnamon and water in a pan an stir over low heat until it is almost boiling.
- Pour othe hot syrup over the Louooumades
- LET ME SHARE MY SECRET WITH YOU: I slice a lemon in thin slices and boil it with the syrup....... it just gives it an extra umph....
