I don't even know where I got this recipe; i've had it for awhile. Looked for a long time for a batter that would be as good as the batter on the deep-fried fish they serve in Canada, along with potato wedges & lots of malt vinegar. Read more This one is exactly like it. See less

How to make it

Beat egg-whites until stiff. Fold in remaining ingredients, adding enough beer to make a medium-thick batter. Coat fish fillets of your choice with the batter & deep-fry until golden & crispy.

That does sound like a light, crispy batter - I will try this on some of our fish next time I deep fry...nothing beats a good beer batter and some malt vinegar! Thank you...Krum
