Superlative Chicken

Nice chicken dish with sherry,lemon and onion flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 frying chicken,cut up(21/2-3bs. shopping list
- 1/3c flour shopping list
- 1/4tsp salt shopping list
- 1/8tsp pepper shopping list
- 3Tbs. butter shopping list
- 1 envelope dehydrated onion soup mix shopping list
- 1/2c water shopping list
- 1/4c dry sherry shopping list
- 1Tbs. lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/8tsp garlic powder shopping list
How to make it
- Wash and dry chicken.Mix flour,salt and pepper. Dredge chicken and coat well. Heat butter in large skillet and brown slowly on all sides.Remove pieces and place in 21/2 qt. casserole In bowl,combine onion soup mix,watersherry,lemon juice,thyme and garlic powder. Spoon over chicken parts. Cover tightly and bake for 45 mins. Remove cover and bake 15 mins more. Bake at a 350 oven
