Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups sliced peaches (peeled)
  • Topping
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (if desired)
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions
  1. Mix sugar and corn starch. Add boiling water and cook until clear. Add fruit and pour into 9X13 baking dish.
  2. For topping: Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and cinnamon (if using). Cut in butter and slowly add milk.
  3. Drop by large spoonfuls on top of fruit and bake @ 350 for 45 minutes.
