A great way to stretch ground beef, a filling and delicious dinner that's great in the summer with a good salad and crusty bread or in the winter with mashed 'taters and a hot veggie. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • STEAKS:
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 sm. onion
  • 1-2 tbsp. catsup or bbq sauce
  • 2 slices toast or about 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • GRAVY:
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. catsup or bbq sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Directions
  1. FOR STEAKS:
  2. Soften toast with water.
  3. Mix with other ingredients.
  4. Add beef to mixture.
  5. Place in frying pan with 1 tablespoon
  6. cooking oil. Brown on both sides; remove from pan.
  7. Place in baking dish. Slice small onion thinly over meat.
  8. FOR GRAVY:
  9. Stir flour in pan meat was cooked in. Stir until brown.
  10. Add water, catsup or bbq, black pepper.
  11. When gravy thickens, pour over meat and onion.
  12. Cover with foil or lid and bake in oven for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
  13. NOTE: This can also be cooked in the crock pot on low overnight.
