I came up with this when I had a bunch of ingredients sitting around.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb. tomatillos, diced
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and diced
  • 1 medium red onion, diced (or shallots)
  • 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Dash of hot sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients and chill for at least 3 hours for flavors to combine.

This sounds like another good one!!!Can I use canned or jarred jalapenos?Theres a warning about the fresh ones.


When I created it, I used fresh...I'm sure you can sub canned, though...that's the beauty of it. And I apologize if the measurements are off, I had to guess...I don't measure anything, to be honest! My boss puts it in the blender and just loves it!1


You know what???? I forgot the cilantro in this recipe (YIKES!!) Use about 1/4 cup, chopped..


You can edit it, darlin', to include the cilantro...with that, I gotta say...sounds great! :)


I just made this and it was very good! I suggest mixing all the ingredients together, then boil it for 10 minutes. Refridgerate, then serve cold with tortilla chips. I love the touch of honey. I actually doubled the honey and omitted the sugar.This was very good!I hope you like my photo!:)
