Cappuccino Brownies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut up shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teasp. vanilla shopping list
- 2/3 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 teasp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 teasp. instant coffee crystals shopping list
- 1 TBSP. whipping cream shopping list
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted shopping list
- 2 TBSP. butter shopping list
- ........................................................ shopping list
- chocolate frosting shopping list
- ....................................................... shopping list
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces shopping list
- 1/3 cup whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- melt 1/2 cup butter and unsweetened chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly..
- remove from heat and cool slightly.
- stir in sugar
- add eggs, one at a time beating with a wooden spoon just until smooth.
- stir in vanilla
- stir together flour and baking soda in a small bowl
- add flour mixture to chocolate mixture
- stir just until combined
- spread batter in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
- bake in 350' F oven for 30 minutes.

- meanwhile for the topping

- dissolve instant coffee in the 1 TBSP. whipping cream.
- beat together powdered sugar and 2 TBSP. butter in small mixing bowl with electric mixer on medium speed
- add coffee mixture to sugar mixture and beat until creamy
- you may need to add a little more whipping cream until mixture is of spreading consistency
- spread over the warm brownies
- chill about an hour or until the topping is set.
- carefully spread the chocolate frosting over brownies
- chill until the frosting is set
- cut into bars....
- makes 16 bars

- combine 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/3 cup whipping cream in small pan
- stir over low heat until chocolate is melted and mixture begins to thicken
