How to make it

  • In heavy skillet over medium high heat,brown livers in butter about 4 to 10 minutes.
  • Transfer livers to an electric blender or a food processor.
  • Add drippings and scraped-up browned bits along with the next seven ingredients.
  • Blend for 20 to 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth.
  • Adjust seasoning
  • Spoon mixture into a crock,cover,and chill overnight.
  • Garnish with the pistachio nuts,if you like
  • Makes 4 servings
