Chicken Live Pate

- 1/2 Pound chicken livers,cleaned,and halved shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 (3oz) package cream cheese,softened shopping list
- brandy--1 to 2 Tablespoons shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- Shelled pistachio nuts(optional) shopping list
How to make it
- In heavy skillet over medium high heat,brown livers in butter about 4 to 10 minutes.
- Transfer livers to an electric blender or a food processor.
- Add drippings and scraped-up browned bits along with the next seven ingredients.
- Blend for 20 to 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth.
- Adjust seasoning
- Spoon mixture into a crock,cover,and chill overnight.
- Garnish with the pistachio nuts,if you like
- Makes 4 servings
