Appetizer Turkey Meatballs Mexican Style

- 1 pound ground turkey ( or chicken ) shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic shopping list
- 1 teasp. chili powder.... or to taste shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. ground cumin shopping list
- 4 ounces tortilla chips, finely crushed shopping list
- nonstick cooking spray shopping list
- 3/4 cup regular or nonfat sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup salsa, your choice of heat shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium bowl, combine turkey, onion, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, chili powder, and cumin. mix well
- shape into approximately 3/4-inch meatballs... about 36
- place crushed chips on a plate.
- roll each meatball in chips coating thoroughly
- on a 15 x 10-inch baking pan lightly coat with cooking spray and arrange the meatballs
- bake at 350' F for 20 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink in the center
- in small bowl, combine sour cream and the salsa.
- serve as a dip for the meatballs
