When I was a kid, I went to a neighborhood Italian Grocery that sold dried garbanzo beans and I would have rather had them than a candy bar...Found this recipe and although not quite the same as that old Italian lady made, they are just as addicting... More

Be sure to store these in a paper bag, NOT in a plastic bag or container. If in plastic they will soften and not be the crunchy treat you made. These are a huge hit in South Beach Diet Land, though I like the addition of soy sauce.

I'm a bean lover and this recipe looks great. I've never prepared garbanzo beans this way and I look forward to the taste test ;) Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello...
This looks like a recipe that I can try right now!
Since I have all the ingredients in my pantry.....
Thanks to..".magandab"... for the 'heads-up' on the storage of these little treats...that is....if you have any left to 'store' after you have shared them with friends!

These sound really good....I'm glad you found a recipe for them :) I used to get a healthy snack mix in the vending machine @ work that had dried peas in it & it was really good....can't find it anymore, though...
