Haddock Fish Fillets With Wine Sauce Dated 1943

- 2 tablespoons minced onion shopping list
- 1 tablespoon oil shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup sauterne wine shopping list
- 1 pound fresh haddock fillets shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté onion in hot oil in a heavy enameled pan or double boiler until tender.
- Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper blending well.
- Add milk stirring constantly and cook until thick.
- When thickened remove and very gradually stir in the wine.
- Put the fish in a baking pan and sprinkle with salt.
- Pour sauce over fish.
- Bake at 350 for thirty minutes basting often.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
