Three-Cheese Chicken Bake

- 8 ounces lasagna noodles shopping list
- ½ cup chopped onion shopping list
- ½ cup chopped bell pepper shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine (I use butter only) shopping list
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup shopping list
- 1 (6-oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained (I sauté lightly, fresh-sliced mushrooms) shopping list
- ½ cup chopped pimiento, drained shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- ½ teaspoon dried basil, crushed shopping list
- 1 ½ cups cream-style cottage cheese shopping list
- 2 cups diced, cooked chicken shopping list
- 2 cups shredded American cheese shopping list
- ½ cup parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook noodles in boiling salted water according to package directions; drain.
- Cook onion and pepper in butter or margarine until tender.
- Stir in soup, mushrooms, pimiento, milk, and basil.
- Lay half the noodles in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish; top with half each the sauce, cottage cheese, chicken and American and Parmesan cheeses.
- Repeat layers except for last 2 cheeses.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
- Top with last of cheeses; bake 2 minutes more. Makes 8 to 10 servings
