Cake is a great vehicle for summer fruits. In the photo, I used raspberries and fresh peaches for a "melba" flavor. Serve this cake warm with a nice dollop of freshly whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon.

Hi this recipe sounds sooooo good. All I'm missing is real butter. I have some peaches and cherries that are getting a little too soft for me to eat in the fridge so I think I might bake em up in this cake instead. Thanks for sharing!

How beautiful and versatile! I love desserts like this and they really hit the spot in the summer. Fresh fruit is the best - thanks for the great! :) Vickie
