Salmon With Brown Sugar And Mustard Glaze Recipe

Salmon With Brown Sugar And Mustard Glaze Recipe
I made this for dinner last night. I thought it was delicious. Be careful. The brown sugar and honey in this will make it burn quickly if it gets too hot! I cooked this under my broiler. I found this at fooddownunder.com.

  • 2 salmon fillets (with skin)
  • 3 Tbl. light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbl. honey
  • 2 Tbl. butter
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbl. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbl. olive oil
  • 1 Tbl. finely grated ginger
  • vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Melt brown sugar, honey and butter in a small sauce pan over medium high heat. Remove from heat and whisk in the mustard, soy sauce, olive oil and ginger. Put aside.
  2. Preheat grill to medium heat and brush both sides of salmon with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper. Place salmon skin side down on grill. Coat flesh of fish with brown sugar mixture. Grill 5 minutes. Turn the fillet and coat the skin side with the brown sugar mixture. Grill an additional 5 minutes. (Grill time will depend on the thickness of the fillet. Adjust accordingly).
