Justins Flan Recipe
Got this from a man I worked with and it was one of the best flans I ever had

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp grated lemon peel

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Place sugar in skillet
  3. Caramelize by cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly with wooden spoon till sugar mels and turns golden brown to medium brown.
  4. Pour and spread quickly on bottom & sides of baking pan
  5. Combine remaining ingredients in bowl and mix well
  6. Pour over caramelized dish
  7. Place dish into another shallow pan filled with 1" water and bake one hour (60 minutes) or till knife inserted 1/2" from middle comes out clean
  8. Loosen edges with spatula
  9. Cool
