Root Beer Chicken

- 3 pounds of chicken shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 cup root beer shopping list
- 1 cup catsup shopping list
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
How to make it
- Prehat the oven to 350. Coat a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place chicken pieces in baking dish. Season with salt and pepper
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until no pink remains in the chicken and juices run clear.
- In medium saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients; mix well and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes until reduced by half.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Coat the cooked chicken with the sauce and grill for 5 minutes per side, basting frequently with the remaining sauce. Serve with the remaining sauce for dipping.
- If no grill is available, you can cover the cooked chicken with the prepared sauce and bake uncovered another 10 minutes until the sauce is sticky.
- Or, prepare the sauce as directed and put uncooked chicken and prepared sauce int he crockpot until the chicken is cooked through.
