Ingredients
  • 2 packages frozen chopped spinach
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 c evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup reserved spinach liquid
  • 12 oz jalapeno cheese cubed
  • 3/4 tsp celery salt
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder(not garlic salt)
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • buttered bread crumbs

Directions
  1. Cook spinach according to package directions, drain and reserve liquid.
  2. melt butter over medium heat
  3. stir in flour then onion. add liquids (milk&liquid from spinach)
  4. cook on low heat stirring constantly until smooth and thick.
  5. add seasonings and cheese
  6. when melted,add cooked spinach and stir to combine
  7. pour into casserole dish and top with buttered bread crumbs.
  8. bake for 30-40 mins at 325 until hot and crumbs brown.
