How to make it

  • Cook spinach according to package directions, drain and reserve liquid.
  • melt butter over medium heat
  • stir in flour then onion. add liquids (milk&liquid from spinach)
  • cook on low heat stirring constantly until smooth and thick.
  • add seasonings and cheese
  • when melted,add cooked spinach and stir to combine
  • pour into casserole dish and top with buttered bread crumbs.
  • bake for 30-40 mins at 325 until hot and crumbs brown.
