Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Prepare rectangular cake pan with cooking spray then set aside.
  • In mixing bowl combine cake mix, dry whipping topping and lime peel.
  • Add daiquiri mix, egg whites and oil then mix until moistened.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 40 minutes.
  • Spread whipped topping evenly over top of cooled cake.

    I can't wait to try this one. Is it a heavy cake? Do you think it would stand up to cream cheese frosting. I thought maybe I would add some pulverized freeze dried strawberries to give it color and a bit more flavor. What do you think?

    I purchase personal recipe collections from estate sales........handwritten recipes handed down from generation to genertion. I also purchsae cookbooks from estate sales if they are vintage (over 30 years old).

    I notice most of your recipes come from estate sales. Does that mean you get cookbooks? Or they are some sort of family cookbook? Is that all you purchase? My friend does auctions and estate sales and sells the stuff on Ebay.
