How to make it

  • In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select dough setting (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed).
  • When cycle is completed, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into portions and shape as desired. Place in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees F for 13-16 minutes or until golden brown.

    Many chefs prefer kosher salt, including myself, it's more flavorful and it contains fewer additives, like anti-caking agents. It's also lower in sodium.
