Garlic Mushroom Alfredo Sauce Recipe

	alfredo rich easy quick mushroom garlic

Ingredients

1/2 stick of butter (i used unsalted)

1/2 cut to 3/4 cup of fresh grated parmesan cheese (parmesan reggiano)

1 cup or so of heavy cream (though i have used 1/2 and 1/2 before, but its just NOT the same)

1/4 cup of chopped shitake mushrooms or portabello or even button

2 cloves of garlic chopped small

2 teaspoons of olive oil

fresh ground nutmeg (just a tad)

Directions

sautee the chopped mushrooms in olive oil then add the garlic and sautee until translucent but not browned and the mushrooms are tender

add 1/2 stick of butter and heavy cream

once the butter melts add the parmesan cheese

add the nutmeg

simmer until thickened.

enjoy

oh and a little ground black pepper too
