Now this one is OLD. My Aunt made this in the 70's when we were helping put up the hay in Mighigan. It is good, cheap and easy.

My mom use to make this and I LOVED IT! She added some whole kernal corn to it to though, and since I'm allergic to mushrooms she used cream of celery soup.

Think I will like this. It certainly sounds simple to make.

This is very good. I've never heard of it with the green beans but that would be a good addition.

My Aunt used to make this without the green beans...but you know I think she served it as a side with the casserole! LOL. Sounds great...thanks for posting

This sounds almost exactly like my recipe for Tater Tot Casserole! I've been making it for about 10 years - I got it from a Foods and Nutrition class in high school. I just tweaked it to my liking, lol.

This was a HUGE hit with the whole family! I can't believe I never thought of doing this! I used cream of chicken & peas instead, because my daughters both hate mushrooms and green beans. Also, I forgot to add the cheese at the end, but everyone said it didn't need it. Thanks, I'll be making this one again!

Question...Should the ground meat be cooked first or put in the casserole raw? I plan on making this tomorrow :)
