40-day Liqueur Recipe

	Nazzb / All my dishes 1 year, 2 months ago This is a sort of a "secret" recipe (not anymore). Here in Potugal, I make it with Aguardente, that is the sort of Grappa, or undestilled white brandy - but I guess Vodka would do as well. Prep:5m Servings:10	Nazzb

Ingredients

1 litre Aguardente (or Vodka)

1 orange

40 coffee beans

750 grs soft brown sugar

Directions

Core the orange skin.

Put it in a large jar.

Add the coffee beans.

Pour over the alcohol.

Close tightly and shake vigorously for the sugar to start melting.

Shake it every day untill the sugar has disolved completely.

It will be ready after 40 days (in real terms, it is ready when the sugar has disolved).

Be ware, it is VERY strong!
