Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 cups sifted self-rising flour
  • 1 cup commercial sour cream
  • powdered sugar

Directions
  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  2. Blend flour into creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour; beat well after each addition.
  3. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch Bundt pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
  5. Cool in pan 10 minutes; invert on wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Sprinlke with powdered sugar.
  7. Yield: one 10-inch cake.

8 eggs... this cake must rise sky high! Coupled with sour cream, the cake has to have a nice flavor and great moist crumb.
