Apple Roll

Apples for the fall. By the way today is the fall.
Ingredients
- 5 or 6 medium size apples shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. sugar shopping list
- 2 c. water shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. butter shopping list
- DOUGH shopping list
- 2 c. flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 4 tsps. baking powder shopping list
- 6 Tbsps. shortening shopping list
- 1/2 c. milk shopping list
How to make it
- Peel apples and chop fine.
- Put sugar and water in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, boil about 5 minutes.
- Roll out dough 1/4 inch thick, spread with chopped apples, dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Roll up like jelly roll and cut into slices.
- Place cut side down in pan of hot syrup.
- Bake at 425 until brown.
