Armenian Plum  Jam Recipe
50 year old recipe from Armenian neighbor lady who made this wonderful plum jam.!

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 dozen red plums
  • 4 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 pkg seedles raisins
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnut meats ( optional )

Directions
  1. Cut plums, slice oranges and lemon and combine all.
  2. Cover reserved plum pits with 1 cup water and boil 1/2 hour and then strain liquid and reserve.
  3. Mix fruits with reserved liquid and let stand one hour.
  4. Then cook 1 hour.
  5. Remove from heat and add walnuts 5 minutes later.
  6. While hot pack into sterilized jars and seal.
  7. Note: I can't remember how many jars this makes but it was sure great tasing!
