I've purchased chocolate bars with chile in them; it is a surprisingly delicious surprise to have a bit of heat with the chocolate. Great post! Thanks for sharing. - Natalie

Wow! I call this recipe unique! I don't remember the name of the scale that measures the heat in chile peppers, but I habaneros are the hottest! More and more recipes pair chocolate and chiles together....I just haven't had the opportunity to try it. Good post!

Wowsers, Sas GF....you're speaking in my language with this one. I love the pairing of chiles and chocolate - its the perfect marriage of heat and black velvet. (Yeah, I stole that BV reference from you...heh.) Oh my. Also love the Heath Bits 'O Brickle add...I really like those and the texture and flavor they bring. Thanks - you rock! xoxox vickie

This sounds really good. I will add a pinch of hot chili powder to hot chocolate along with cinnamon for an extra burst of flavor and that little bite. I have never had it like this though and would probably try this with something a little tamer than habanero powder. I have heard of the benefits of dark chocolate and of capsaicin. For me having chocolate "in moderation" is the hard part! :0) Thanks for the post.
