Get Wild Rice Dish

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 cup wild rice shopping list
- 4 stalks celery sliced shopping list
- 2 small white onions peeled and chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic minced shopping list
- 6 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cups long grain white rice shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds shopping list
How to make it
- In medium saucepan over medium high heat melt butter.
- Sauté garlic, celery, onion and wild rice until celery and onion are soft.
- Stir in broth, parsley, salt and pepper then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cover them simmer 40 minutes.
- Add white rice and return to a boil for 1 minute then reduce to simmer.
- Cover and cook 15 minutes longer then remove rice still covered from heat and rest 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve immediately.
