How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Brush olive oil on a 9x13" casserole dish. Starting with the potatoes,make three alternating layers of potatoes,tomatoes and onions. Sprinkle each layer with salt and 1/3c cheese and marjoram
  • Pour wine carefully into dish on one side. Cover with foil and bake 25-30 mins. Uncover the dish and continue baking till the top is nicely browned.

    The concept of this and the taste is fabulous. The cooking method did not work for me. The potatoes did not get done. I'm thinking If I parboiled them first I would have been good to go. Also there was too much liquid. Probably cut in half.

    This sounds similar to a recipe I've been looking for ever since having it at my daughers ex mother inlaws. Her recipe didn't have tomatoes though, how much onion do you use in your recipe? Love to give it a try.
