Similar to a pound cake and many other 1-2-3 cakes this is a nice big cakes and freezes quite well. great with coffee. Sometimes just use powdered sugar topping instead of glaze

Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • to the 1 cup of reserved batter.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa,
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Glaze:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soft butter (or margarine)
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Directions
  1. Measure all ingredients into a large mixer bowl.
  2. Using an electric mixer, stir on low speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl constantly.
  3. Mix on high speed 3 minutes (scrape occasionally).
  4. Put 1 cup of batter into a small bowl.
  5. Pour half of the remaining batter into a greased bundt pan.
  6. Add 1/4 cup cocoa, 3 tablespoons cooking oil and 1 tablespoon milk to the 1 cup of reserved batter.
  7. Mix thoroughly.
  8. Pour chocolate batter over the batter in the bundt pan.
  9. Pour the remaining white batter over the chocolate batter.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes.
  11. Allow to cool thoroughly. Remove the cake from the bundt pan.
  12. If desired, frost with a white glaze.
  13. Glaze:
  14. Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  15. If glaze seems too thick to drizzle over the bundt cake, add more milk by teaspoons until the glaze reaches the desired consistency.
  16. If glaze seems too thin, add powdered sugar by tablespoons until it reaches the desired consistency.

Hey, question: where is the chocolate in the recipe? This sounds great but I was just a bit confused. (Oh, never mind, I see it! Sorry 'bout that.) This does look wonderful and I want to try is soon.
