these cookies i found in a 60 year old cookbook
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 egg yolks shopping list
- 1 tbl vanilla shopping list
- 2 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 tea soda shopping list
- 1/8 tea salt shopping list
- 1 tea cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tea cloves shopping list
- 2 tbl sour milk shopping list
- 4 1/2 cup nuts shopping list
- 1 lb chopped dates shopping list
How to make it
- cream butter and sugar
- add egg yolks an vanilla beat at medium 2 or 3 minutes
- add dry sifted ingredients
- add sour milk, blend by hand
- add nuts and dates
- drop by 1/2 tea on cookie sheet
- bake at 325 10 - 15 minutes
- dough can be refrigerated and used latter
