Sweet Italian Sausage Patties Recipe

I also like the tang of lemon and find it really works here ... hence the lemon pepper. I haven't tried this yet with lean pork, but I think it would be fabulous!... Ingredients

1 lb pound ground white turkey

3 cloves garlic, chopped

3 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley leaves

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon fennel seeds (I use ground)

1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning (NOT salt-free)

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Directions

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT olive oil.

Form patties.

Preheat a large, nonstick skillet and fry sausage in extra-virgin olive oil, 3 or 4 minutes on each side over medium to medium- high heat.

DO NOT OVERCOOK!

Deglaze pan with fresh lemon juice and pour pan-juices over patties, if desired.

I make my own sausage with a hand grinder ( I highly suggest anyone and everyone to do this)and one recipe for Sicilian sausage I have uses corriander with fennel, s&p and chili flakes. Anyway IMO this was a dynamic recipe because of the addition of corriander. I'm thinking you'd like it because it has lemony overtones.
