Butter Toffee Brunch Cake Recipe

How to make it

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
• Butter well and lightly flour 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
• Cream butter thoroughly; add sugar gradually beating well after each addition.
• Blend in flour and mix well
• Remove 1/2 cup of crumb mixture and set aside for topping use
• To remainder of mixture, add buttermilk, soda, egg and vanilla.
• Beat until completely blended
• Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle topping evenly over surface.
• Bake 35-40 minutes
• *Topping*
• 6 Heath English Toffee candy bars, crushed
• 1/4 cup chopped nuts
• 1/2 cup reserved dry ingredients
• Finely crush the 6 candy bars.
• Mix candy with chopped nuts and reserve 1/2 cup dry mixture
• Proceed as directed above
