Cinnamon Swirl Pound Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • Beat butter at medium speed of electric mixer about 2 minutes until soft and creamy.
  • Gradually add 2 cups sugar, beating at medium speed for 5-7
  • minutes.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with water, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  • Mix at low speed until just blended after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Pour half of batter into greased and lightly floured bundt pan.
  • Combine 1/2 cup pecans,cinnamon and brown sugar; sprinkle over the batter.
  • Top with remaininghalf of batter.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 55-60 minutes or til a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan on wire rack for 15minutes; then remove from pan and let cool completely.
  • Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice; drizzle over the cake.
  • Sprinkle with 1/4 cup pecans.
