Bake it, shake it, any way you make it let me know. Let's come up with a great recipe for these green beans....and if you want to rate yourself then please do so.

I am having to eat simple..so here goes..
I am going to lightly saute my garlic, green
beans and mushrooms in a TINY bit of EVOO,
I will then add a itsy bit of water and steam
as needed (not done and soggy). :)

LOL, sorry.. I thought WE were to do it..that is
ALL I would do as I am now on a heart diet.
(I did not see your instructions) ughh

Here's what I would do with those 3 ingredients:
1. saute the mushrooms, garlic and green beans with a speck of unsalted butter and a small amount of vegetable broth (bouillion).
2. add a little more vegetable broth to the veggies then add a few spoonsfuls of instant mashed potato flakes to make a thicker "sauce" and serve.
3. For added interest-slice a little onion and brown it over high flame (with a spot of butter) so that it's almost crispy and sprinkle on top of veggies.
(4. depending on the amount of "sauce" the veggies are in, I might just pour some over my mashed potatoes).

I would saute a little EVOO and some strips of chicken or turkey. Then add the garlic, mushrooms and stir fry a little bit more. Then add some red pepper flakes and a splash of sherry then add the green beans and cook til tender....serve over rice.
How did I do?

1. I would blanch the green beans in salt water and shock in icewater.
2. I would dry toast some pine nuts until golden.
3. I would sauté a couple of anchovies together with some whole garlic cloves in some good olive oil. Throw in the mushrooms until their water has evaporated.
4. Add the green beans, some sliced green olives and some chopped up roasted red pepper, a pinch of oregano and crushed pepper flakes. Sauté a few minutes more then toss some pine nuts on the top…;-)~

Lana...nothing wrong with your recipe, sometimes you need a recipe exactly like that if you're serving a meal with other stronger flavors.
I think I would steam the beans to crisp tender.
Saute the garlic and mushroom and then add crushed tomatoes, fresh sliced basil, some kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.

I love all the above recipe they show imagination. Of course, mine will not be that wonderful. I would take some turkey sausage cut into small pieces, in an iron skillet, cook it for a few minute along with a bit of onion, garlic and a dash of creole seasoning. Then add in my green beans that have been sliced and sliced mushrooms with a little stock and let them cook down.
