A rich creamy piquant dish, fit for a King or just old Ma and Pa Kettle - it makes no difference.

Thanks both for your comments. Good luck Sher - tell me how it goes.
Leroux - Frozen or freshly shelled peas go really well with this dish. Roast or broiled potatoes don't go too far wrong either!

My husband is quite a fan of Chicken ala King and Creamed Chipped Beef dishes, so therefore I try most recipes I come across. He like this one very much. I served it on top of my sisters' recipe for her mayo biscuits. I used really good frozen peas.

My mom used to make this. What a wonderful memory recipe. I must make this! Thank you!

Same for me....I haven't had this; much less
thought about having it since I was a kid.
Great memory recipe for sure....I'll give it
a try, sounds great.

I just wanted to say that yours is the first recipe I've tried since joining and I loved it. I substituted the chicken with turkey to use up the left overs and it turned out great. Its just like I remember my mom making.
