Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425
  • In medium-sized bowl, mix ground beef, onion, potato, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Cut pie crust rounds in half. On each of the halves of dough, center a small handful of meat mixture on one side and fold the other side of dough over meat, creating a triangle shape. Gently press along edges to seal pastie, trim outside edges and place on cookie sheet.
  • Lightly coat tops of pasties with beaten egg.
  • Place pasties in oven at 425 for 15 minutes, then lower to 325 and bake for an additional 45 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is completely cooked.

Yummy! My English husband will definitely love this one. I'm with Cookinggood - I always think pasties must be a ton of work ... don't you love recipes that taste like you slaved over them?!

This looks very easy! I always associate meat pies with work intensive. I will have to give these a go.
