Baked Gouda Recipe

Baked Gouda Recipe
This has been a tradition at a friend's Christmas eve get-together for years. Warm nutty gouda and crescent rolls...and a nice glass of white wine!

Ingredients
  • 2 small rounds of Gouda cheese (you may find it in either
  • the dairy section or by the deli).
  • 1 roll Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough
  • 1 pkg dry Lipton onion soup mix

Directions
  1. Separate the crescent dough into 4 squares (2 triangles each).
  2. Remove wax covering from the cheese and sprinkle each with 1/2 pkg dry Lipton onion soup mix.
  3. Wrap two squares around each cheese round - one on the top and one on the bottom so that it is entirely covered.
  4. Put rounds on a baking sheet and follow the crescent roll instruction for baking temp and time.
  5. When it comes out, let it cool slightly and then cut into pie shape wedges.
  6. You'll probably want to make this just before the start of the party so that the cheese is still slightly warm. Enjoy!
  7. Serves 6-8
