I love bread.....And I love it even more with garlic and butter on it

Ingredients
  • 2 tsp. garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 stick butter, unsalted preferably and softened
  • 1 tbls. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbls. parsley or basil, finely chopped
  • 1 loaf Italian bread

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. With knife, mash garlic and salt together to make paste
  3. In small mixing bowl, mix together butter, olive oil, and garlic paste
  4. Mix in parley or basil
  5. Cut bread diagonally into 1 in. thick slices without cutting completely through bottom of bread
  6. Spread garlic butter between slices
  7. Wrap in foil
  8. Bake for 15 minutes
  9. Open foil and bake 5 more minutes
